Price Offers Usually Comes New Offerings - Google Home Entertainment TBA

If you are in the UK and are into all things Google you may have seen the recent 50% price reduction for Google Home Max.

Pricing reductions like this usually mean something is about to be released to replace it. With the planning of a keynote at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco on 19 March, it feels like something big in home entertainment is about to happen by Google.

The home entertainment space is an important piece in the home automation puzzle and all major tech firms are aware of it. Google has been teaming up with 3rd parties like Nvidia with the Shield which remains to be the number one Android 4K TV streaming device on the market but even that has been dropping in price recently.

Google has also been working with JBL who have delayed an Android TV-powered soundbar that will have the Google Assitant built in. The delay could also be tied into this gaming keynote as there have been reports that this soundbar from JBL will be officially released this spring. Details on what on what is powering this soundbar are scant but if it bears any resemblance to the Nvidia Shield for $400 price tag it could be an intriguing bit of tech to have in your living room. 

All this is speculation but there are far many pieces that link to the television in the living room and spring announcements. My goodness, I'm almost excited by a Google keynote...  that's been a while.
